Redcross_bradley_1 On Wednesday 16th August I got to MC and perform at the Red Cross Children's Hospital Trust fundraiser known as OPERATION THEATRE. It was a magical day where the event aimed at recreating the ultimate childhood experience – complete with candy floss, carnival rides and clowns!

It was a great experience for me to MC and perform and I took on learning the script and making it my own with conviction. I am discovering that I really enjoy public speaking – especially when it is for a cause – and standing on the stage appealing to the audience to help raise the last 10million needed to build 4 new operating theatres was a thrill. It was also incredible to have my songs really shine on a stage where the message of “I wonder how it came to be that devastation is the only way we see, how connected we are” and “if we raise our voices just enough, someone should be listening” could really have relevance.

Overall it was a wonderful day, if not an emotional one. I was so present to the cause they are fighting for – better facilities to save children's lives on a day to day basis. As always I am so glad I can lend my voice to initiatives that inspire me and who need all the help they can get.
