Birthday On the 16th of May I celebrated my birthday and the 11 year anniversary of writing my first song!  To mark the occasion I went back to where it all began - Noordhoek Beach, Cape Town.

The wind was wild but so exhilarating! It felt amazing to be back in the parking lot where 11 years ago I went to contemplate my life and where it was going, and out of nowhere I felt

compelled to put pen to paper.  I will never forget looking down at what I had written & just knowing it was lyrics to a song...

Mimiverity Regarding how I chose Mimi to be the first Live Your Dreams artist of my Lucky Packet Project...

When I decided to offer Mimi the first live your dreams artist payout, I had never actually heard her sing. We had met at a braai and once more at an audition and I just really liked her energy. I knew of 2 groups that she sang with (Mama Vox & Tucan Tucan) so could be pretty sure she is a great singer. In our second brief meeting, she mentioned she was working on some original material...

March 01, 2006 - Arriving In New York

Sarjulme Well, I arrived in New York on Friday 24th Feb from Nashville. Even my flight into the city was exciting. ...

My connection from Chicago had me sitting next two students on their way for a five day trip to NY. We got chatting, and before we knew it the two hour rather bumpy flight was over and we were firm friends. Sarah, Juliet and I decided to negotiate the shuttle and train journey together and it was wonderful to not be struggling with my bags all on my own....

March 01, 2006 - Farewell Nashville

Group2_2   Looking back at the girl who arrived in Miami last September, hired a car and drove across three states to find music city, I have come a long way! It has been an incredible adventure for me to be immersed in the deep south of America and to learn all things ‘Country’ from the ground up. As I started packing my bags last week I felt incredibly sad to be leaving the city I have called home for the last five months...

While Nashville might not have been the musical...
