The Willow Foundation’s purpose is to promote peace and harmony in South African homes by educating and providing skills to dis-enabled women to assist them in enhancing self-love and their self esteem so that they can educate their children, our future leaders. WHY?
Having healed from her own experience of being in three abusive relationships, the founder and CEO of The Willow Foundation felt the need to share her story in a book called The Relationship Magnet that gives people life-changing advice based on lessons in her own life and intensive research of other cases. Through this process she discovered that not many people know that they are in abusive relationships. Through social conditioning and old beliefs systems women do not realize that the way they are being treated is not normal or acceptable and that they can change it. When they do decide to leave or change their situation, they do not know who to turn to or where to go. | |

USA MOTORCYCLE JOURNEY To create international awareness, a team of six will be travelling to the USA on the 29th of July 2007 to ride motorcycles from California to New York. Our journey will take a month where we will spend +- 4 - 5 hours per day in the saddle stopping along the way for numerous TV and radio interviews. The team consists of Debra - The Willow Foundation's founder; Trix from "Power of Touch" - our Deep Tissue and Sports Massage Therapist who will massage all the aches and pains away; our Cinematographer John who will film our journey and turn it into an awesome documentary; our Photographer Kayleigh to document our journey with still photography; our vehicle driver Dustan to cart our camera crew and luggage; and our resident Fairy Godmother Kirstin, from Fairygodmother Inc, who besides creating magic by waving her wand and sprinkling fairy dust along the way, will keeping everyone in the loop with her daily blog. |
