On Monday 16th Feb I got to retrace my childhood when I was asked to go and talk to the students at my old school - Michael Oak in Kenilworth. It was amazing to arrive back at the place where so much of who I am was defined and to see how much it has changed in the time since I left. In essence I could stand and truly experience my own growth reflected in the mirror of the old school transformed into something I could hardly recognise. I guess going back is always a great way to see how far you've come & inspire you to see how much further you want to go.
Here's the thank-you they sent me - truth is I want to thank them!

Your presentation this morning was a delight and really
inspiring for both the children and the the adults.
The story
resonnated in us all and I know that it was has given courage and strengthed
wings. I think the children identified very strongly with you. Your
singing, to round it off, was an absolute treat and you have certianly
gained some fans.We look forward very much to the next time.
