Everywhere I look I see people finding love - enjoying the magic of wherever it may go. And everywhere I look, I see people losing love - fearing the pain of having to let it go. And I’ve had both - I’ve loved, I’ve lost. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, been given and I’ve been denied
Everywhere I go I see hope being born - people just enjoying the chance of being more. And everywhere I go I see despair creeping in - people giving up ‘cos it’s easier than believing. And I’ve been there - I’ve dreamed, I’ve despaired. I’ve reached, I have stumbled, I’ve succeeded then been humbled.
And then it’s clear in my mind - there’s no point in wondering why, 'cos that’s just life - buckle up and enjoy the ride...
The joy, the pain, the pretty, the plain. The love, the hate, the chance, the fate. Falling, flying, failing, trying. The ups, the down, smiles and frowns - all keep it going around and around - it’s just life - enjoy the ride
Everywhere I’ve been I seen happy ever after - people love one another and looking to tomorrow. Everywhere I’ve been I seen lives filled with disaster - people hating each other and holding onto sorrow. And I’ve felt that - I’ve aspired, I’ve despised. I’ve cared, I’ve resented, I’ve been free then been prevented...
And then it’s clear in my mind - there’s no point in wondering why, 'cos that’s just life - buckle up and enjoy the ride...
